Mother's Day & the Leak of Roe vs Wade

As an Independent woman who leans towards being Progressive Liberal in politics. I hurt along with my Sisters on the leaked papers on proposed overturning of Roe vs Wade. Besides being worried for all those who would be forced into Motherhood, it is worry that papers got leaked. And the fact that it was the week of Mother's Day is doubly hurtful.

With abortion I look at it in grey rather then black and white issue. As I do with most issues. There is too many variables that goes into an issue like this. On a moral issue it is not for one or a group of people to decide what is best for the person (woman in this case), because of religion/beliefs. So I don't believe I have the right to make this decision for another woman.

I do believe that life does begin at conception for all beings/animals.   All beings need to feel loved and taken care of from womb to birth to death. To feel love is a very important from the womb to birth to growing up for a being to survive and be productive. And only a woman is capable of providing this.

In our modern human society in the United States, we do not give enough support to our woman for them to be good productive mothers who produce healthy productive children.

If we were a Pro-Life country, we would not be fighting each other over abortion. To me a Pro-life Society or Country is one that provides Pre-natal & natal (mental included) health care to all woman. This would cover all health from womb to birth. From birth on to death there should be affordable Universal Healthcare, which includes mental.

We would make sure that there was sex and life skills education from 1st grade through high school. This would include, how babies are made and reproductive organs of both sexes. Life skills would include how to have a budget, balance a check book and virtual tools on how to handle various situations.

Labeling yourself a Pro-Lifer or Pro-Choice does not help the situation. Labeling just makes it a Black and White Issue and causes more friction then help. Rather looking at it as a Grey issue which looks at the whole picture with its variables, such as the cause and condition of an unwanted pregnancy.

As a society if we provided the tools that help prevent unwanted pregnancies, we would be much better off economy wise, besides being more actually pro-life. These tools would include free access to birth control for both sexes, besides sex education.

Here is too all Mothers, those who love being one, those who struggle being a good one and those who have lost a child.
